I just returned from the AFP International Conference where we connected with our fundraising colleagues from across the world. This conference is such an amazing experience. Check out the photos at the end of this eNews to see some of our colleagues who joined us.
I hope you have had a chance to attend at least one of our AFP WA programs this year. If you are looking for a way to get more involved in AFP, click here.

Friends of Diversity Award
AFP Washington is proud to have been awarded the 2007 Friends of Diversity Designation by AFP International. The Friends of Diversity designation indicates that AFP WA serves as a model for all chapters to emulate in accomplishing diversity related goals set forth by AFP and chapter leadership.
AFP Washington's diversity vision states: We envision a community of fundraising professionals where a commitment to diversity, inclusiveness, and justice transcends our differences. These following values support this vision:
Diversity, inclusiveness, and understanding increase productivity, enrich problem solving, and heighten creativity.
Diversity reinvigorates our professions, strengthens our sense of community, broadens our understanding, and moves us all toward the greater good.
Diversity is an ongoing process; an end point does not exist.
Diversity is not simply quantitative; it is qualitative as well, and thus quotas are not always a reliable indicator of progress.
