Toasting the season ... and our future!

We had a fabulous and festive time at our 2014 Holiday Social and Annual Meeting, celebrating the work we all do to advance philanthropy and help nonprofits thrive.

We also took care of some important business, electing a new Board of Directors and approving the bylaws that will govern AFP Advancement Northwest – the new united association launching January 1.

We are excited to become AFP Advancement Northwest, the single most comprehensive source of education and networking for fundraisers in the Pacific Northwest – and one of the largest AFP chapters in the world.

Here are two links to lots of great photos from the evening: NDOA's Facebook photo album and a gallery from TapSnap's photo booth

AFP Washington Chapter congratulates members of AFP Washington who have recently achieved the Certified Fund Raising Executives (CFREs) designation.

These persons join over 5,000 professionals around the world who hold the CFRE designation. Individuals granted the CFRE credential have met a series of standards set by CFRE International which include tenure in the profession, education, demonstrated fundraising achievement and a commitment to service to not-for-profit organizations. They have also passed a rigorous written examination testing the knowledge, skills, and abilities required of a fundraising executive, and have agreed to uphold Accountability Standards and the Donor Bill of Rights. CFRE International is an independent organization dedicated to upholding the highest standards in ethical philanthropic fundraising through the certification of fundraising executives. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and led by a small professional staff, CFRE International consistently meets the highest standards for certification excellence.
