2014 National Philanthropy Day

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS


The Association of Fundraising Professionals-Washington Chapter is pleased to open nominations for the 2014 National Philanthropy Day awards and to announce the celebration of 2014 National Philanthropy Day on Wednesday, November 5, at the Westin Seattle Hotel. We encourage you to submit nominations for philanthropic corporations, small businesses, foundations, organizations, individuals, families and youth. We strive to recognize philanthropists at all levels, as philanthropy comes in many forms. Nomination letters must be postmarked by Friday, June 6. Click here for details.

Our state’s celebration is one of the largest and longest-standing. In fact, this year marks the 26th anniversary of Washington State’s National Philanthropy Day!  Please help us to recognize outstanding philanthropists in Washington State – nominate a philanthropist by June 6.

The Collaborative

The Collaborative task force has retained Luma Consulting to support the continued discussion and exploration of the alliance and possible merger of AFP Washington and the Northwest Development Officers Association.

Luma Consulting, led by John Smith and assisted by Joan Fanning, has been engaged to analyze the needs of our members and program participants, develop a value proposition and financial models, and draft a potential integration plan. Both are deeply familiar with the Pacific Northwest’s fundraising environment and have extensive experience in developing business plans for nonprofit and membership organizations.

We expect to complete this work by May. It is our intention to keep our members informed as this work progresses. You can read more here.
